Business License Registration

Before we assist to check any matters pertaining to business license application, you are required to pay RM500 as a first consultation fee. This is to enable us to have an in depth understanding of your business before the said application. Upon receipt of payment, our experienced consultants will be in touch with you. You may contact us via email, phone calls or visits to our office.

 

However, we would like to emphasize that we may not be able to assist in certain business license application. This is because the relevant authorities may request to be in touch with the license holder as these businesses will require in depth knowledge of said industry.

Application of business license

The local authority of each jurisdiction may impose different requirements for business license and signboard applications.

 

Generally, the required documents for business license are as follows:

Company

  • Business Registration Certificate
    ( Form 9 ) - Copy
  • Director, Manager and Secretary Details
    ( Form 49 ) - Copy
  • Photos of business premises
    ( Front of business premise and interior of business premise )
  • Any One (1) Director listed in Form 49
    Copy of IC/ Passport
  • Sample of company’s signboard with design and colour
    ( if applicable )
  • Picture indicating of the signboard location ( if applicable )

Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)

  • Registration Certificate – 1 copy
  • e-SSM business introduction – 1 copy
  • Photos of business premises
    ( Front of business premise and interior of business premise )
  • Any One (1) Partner listed in the business Copy of IC/ Passport
  • Sample of company’s signboard with design and colour
    ( if applicable )
  • Picture indicating of the signboard location ( if applicable )

ENTERPRISE (SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP/ PARTNERSHIP)

  • Business Registration Certificate
    ( Form D ) – 1 copy
  • e-SSM business introduction – 1 copy
  • Photos of business premises
    ( Front of business premise and interior of business premise )
  • Any One (1) Operator/ Partner listed in the Form 49 Copy of IC/ Passport - 1
  • Sample of company’s signboard with design and colour
    ( if applicable )
  • Picture indicating of the signboard location ( if applicable )

WHOLESALE, RETAIL, TRADING (WRT) PERMIT

WRT (Wholesale, Retail, Trading) Permit is only applicable to foreign companies (more than 50%). Retail, Trading (Import – Export), Distributorship, Restaurants, Franchising, Services and Consulting companies have to apply to the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs of Malaysia for the permit.

 

The WRT permit will be valid for 2 years upon approval. Applicant must renew 3 months before its expiry of validity.

  • Stamped form 32A ( Changes in shareholder )
  • Confirmation of Letter from Inland Revenue Board ( Copy )
  • Valid Business Permit from local authorities ( Copy )
  • Stamped copy of Tenancy Agreement / SPA of the business premise
  • Audited report (copy) – last 5 years
  • Any permits/ approval letters issued by relevant authorities pertaining to the business activities ( Copy )
  • Copy of Recent 3 months customs clearance documents (Form K1/ K2) / Bill of landing / Airway bill/ Delivery Order / Purchase Order / Invoices
  • Restaurant Business – Menu ( Food & Beverages ), Chef/ Staffs qualifications documents ( certificates/ other relevant documents )
  • Description of business premise and product photos

( Renewal of Permit )

  • Business Registration Certificate (Form 9)/ Changed of Company Name (Form 13)
  • Company profile issued by the Malaysian Companies Commission
  • Information on directors, managers and secretaries ( Form 49 )
  • Stamped form 32A ( Changes in shareholder )
  • Confirmation of Letter from Inland Revenue Board ( Copy )
  • Valid Business Permit from local authorities ( Copy )
  • Receipt of KWSP contribution ( recent 3 months )
  • Submission of Sales Tax ( Recent 3 months )
